Educational Offer

Baccalaureate of Arts

The Baccalaureate has a duration of two academic years (students from 16 to 18 years old). It is not mandatory. Its purpose is to provide students with training, intellectual and personal development, as well as the knowledge and skills that will allow them to perform their social functions and actively take part in life with responsibility and competence. It is accessed with the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education and can be taken in ordinary daytime, evening and distance learning. Students have a maximum of four consecutive years to complete these studies.

Illustration

These studies aim to create professionals within a series of specific specialties, in which drawing is the most important. Thus establishing the creation of specialists in iconic communication par excellence. Their work complements the most ambitious projects in the world of advertising, information and communication in general. For this reason, it shares space and belongs to the same family of the other specialty and counterpart known as that of advertising graphic designer. These two specialties therefore share competencies in the areas of EDITORIAL and IDENTITY. The illustrator creates images for the publishing world, illustrating books for stories, stories, news, etc. But also in the hemerological or magazines, newspapers and magazines. And of course in the extra-editorial that are nothing more than the physical advertising supports. We are referring to posters, brochures, flyers, …

Graphic Design for Advertisement

Here, professionals are trained in charge of the materialization and design of the messages from advertising campaigns. These are devised by advertising creatives and then physically built by advertising graphic designers, who in turn collaborate with other specialists such as graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, etc. So the design part, in this profession is closely linked to knowledge of graphic design and photography as well as other technical aspects to make the campaigns a reality.

Sculptural Techniques

The qualification obtained in this cycle is becoming more and more widely applicable and covers increasingly larger areas. Traditionally, this work is known as that which could be limited to ornamental sculptures for a merely artistic free market. But the application to recover pieces, ornaments and structures of deteriorated historical artistic heritage was also already known, so conservation and restoration at the corresponding level has always been the competence of the professionals who concern us. Today this speciality is also necessary to create thematisation of spaces, such as aesthetic designs and urban furniture for renovation and rehabilitation programmes, public and private leisure and recreation parks, fairground businesses, even for films and television programmes, in industrial design, etc. In another area, we collaborate with projects by other artists such as illustrators who make series of three-dimensional pieces, with scientists, paleontologists, etc., to reconstruct our universal past. This is a training cycle of almost unlimited richness in every sense, as well as an unquestionable future of work.

Sculpture Applied to Entertainment

The qualification obtained in this cycle constitutes a specific speciality included in the family of the corresponding studies. Here the projects are elaborated from the point of view of planning the work in phases and their final execution. Therefore, at the same time, the necessary processes and technical conditions will be learned. The application is very well defined, sculptural artistic productions aimed at the materialization of shows of various kinds, from events for theater, cinema, television, to public companies, institutions and other private entities. They collaborate with sculpting technicians for shows that require theming. The learning needs are very similar to those of the other cycles of this family. This profession also aims to plastically enrich the contents of events that are considered spectacles, such as leisure and recreation fairs and ephemeral events to promote companies (which use the spectacle as an advertising medium), thus reinforcing corporate images and identities from the three-dimensional product.

Design and Management of Decoration Works

You will learn how to carry out interior design projects for private and commercial spaces, from the creative process to their final graphic representation, both artistic (watercolour, pencil and marker sketches) and technical and compositional (Autocad, Sketchup, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator); as well as to resolve the construction and installation aspects that correspond to the interior design work.

Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage speciality Sculpture

Sculptural cultural assets, materially linked to a significant number of immovable properties, constitute one of the most important heritage collections worldwide. The Sculpture specialization within the Higher Education in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage is responsible for training professionals who will work on this heritage within the European Higher Education Area. The curriculum comprises four academic years: two common to all specializations, and two specific to the specialization, which make the conservator-restorer of sculptural assets a highly well-rounded professional.
